Was around 8 pm when we started off on the journey towards kallkere in the heavily loaded jee which had to take the load of 8 of us as well as the forest gueards. We spotted a couple of bisons / gaur on the way<br /><br />Kallakere guest house was built in 1906 and is on top of a small hill in the forest. The place is surrounded by quite a lot of teak trees, the flora is a treat to watch, The fresh air and the greenery of the forests are so good that it takes a couple of days to get rid of such a hangover after u reach the concrete jungle ...<br /><br />The Kallkere Guest House<br /><br />The trek to the anti poaching camp next day was a good workout, we never thaought that we could trek for 10 kms on rugged tracks, we were accompanied all the way by raja a sambar who has made the surroundings of the guest house his home, the animal was keen to join us for a trek and it did not budge in spite of the foresters trying to chase it away, it matched us step by step and patiently followed us all the way back to the guest house ...<br /><br />Your city cars wont work ..<br /><br />Gaurs on the track ..<br /><br />We passed through quite a lot of water holes the same evening on our way in a jeep to a different lace, we saw quite a lot of playful langurs, a family of bisons, elephants , peacocks owl, and variety of other birds, i was standing outside the jeep on the way back to get a glimpse of the forest and the animals ...<br /><br />We never had time for a cricket match this time, thanks to the body ache vasu had all day long , we named him happy buddha as he has a big tummy now, physical qualities apart he is never short of his funny one liners which kepps us laughing all through the trip ..<br /><br />A memorable trip in the end through the forest and we were lucky to spot a tiger at last after so many trips to the jungle ...<br /><br />Thanks to Praveen again for taking away from the concrete jungle ...<br /><br />Lets do all we can to save the beautiful forests of our land<br /><br />KHAV<div class="blogger-post-footer"><img width='1' height='1' src='https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/tracker/3736718298371865017-7302301325129566271?l=amoghs-adventures.blogspot.com' alt='' /></div>Amoghhttp://www.blogger.com/profile/00690410869253937741noreply@blogger.com0
